A device for raising the plates on causeways and pavements

The device comprises a handle with notches, a lower hook part and a copper base plate. After having struck the plate with the base plate in order to detach it from the pavement the hook is placed in the plate groove in order to disengage it. A hand jack is used to facilitate the lifting of the plate.
