The probe has an electrically and thermally conducting tip (3) which is able to transmit mechanical vibrations. It has an electrical connector (6) to a current generator, and on the opposite side to its active face (4) it has an ultrasound emitter (7) which is linked mechanically to the tip (3) but insulated electrically from it. The quartz or ceramic ultrasound emitter is located in a recess (5) on top of an electrically conducting support (8) and an electrically insulating but thermally conducting layer (9) which is able to transmit mechanical vibrations. The connecting layer (9) can be a cyanoacrylate adhesive or an epoxy resin.
