The installation for cleaning a tube bundle (1) comprises an injection device (4) for adding cleaning balls (B) into the liquid upstream of the bundle. A separator device (5) recovers the balls downstream of the bundle and a recycling circuit (6) transports the recovered balls to the injection device. The recycling device includes a sorting device (12) comprising a pipe section through which the balls carried by the flowing liquid travel. This pipe section is laterally delimited by an adjustable grille with slots parallel to the liquid flow enabling the passage of balls less than a pre-specified diameter. A used ball collecting chamber, separated by the grille is connected to a passage (13) allowing evacuation of a certain liquid flow rate.
