The invention concerns a trouser belt (20) for a cook working in the proximity of heat sources, comprising one or several materials making it elastic and capable of absorbing the user's perspiration for several hours. It consists of either a material both elastic and absorbent, or a first elastic part (22) incorporated in a second sheath-like part (24) made of a material absorbing perspiration. The belt further comprises a self-adhesive element, consisting of a soft part (28) on the outer surface of one belt end (26) and a prickly part (34) on the inner surface of the belt other end (30).
