Separating rubber and reinforcement of tyres, for recovery

Conveying systems (3, 4) catch the tyre and present it before high pressure nozzles (2) which shred the rubber, separating out the metal reinforcing structure (6). Preferred Features: One conveying system (4) has fingers moving the metal reinforcements from start to end of the treatment. The other conveying system comprises treaded rollers (3). These carry the tire along, simultaneously rendering it oval, compressing and compacting it, as it is guided beneath the nozzles. The series of high pressure water nozzles are integrated in a casing. Rubber particles (5) are recovered on a lower conveyor belt, whilst the conveying system continues on, to end the cycle by releasing the metal reinforcement.
