Adaptation of identification cards for Braille to prevent particularly nasty forms of fraud and deception

The rear of a (transparent) sheet of deformable plastic (1) is cold-embossed with a specific indication in Braille characters (2). The sheet is attached by its back onto a face of the identification card (3). An Independent claim is included for the corresponding Braille identity card. Preferred features: The back of the plastic is coated with adhesive. Optionally it is also coated onto the front of the identification card. Hollows formed by Braille indentations are filled, to resist collapse under pressure. The filler is colored, translucent.
