Method and device for diagnosingand distinguishing chest pain in early onset thereof

A kit is disclosed for rapidly diagnosing the cause of chest pain of a patient in theearly onset thereof. The test kit comprises a receptacle for receiving and retaining asample of blood or serum of the patient and at least three monoclonal or polyclonalantibodies suspended on a carrier. Each antibody is complementary to a different proteinreleased by the heart muscle during early stages of a myocardial infarction and hascorresponding reagents which are independently responsive to each antibody reacting thecomplementary protein. The combined response of reagents indicates the diagnosticcondition of the patient.
