A pharmaceutical aerosol formulation which comprises particulate medicament, a fluorocarbon of hydrogen-containing chlorofluorocarbon propellant and a surfactant of general formula (I), wherein n is an integer of 1 to 18; m is an integer of 0 to 17; and R.sup. 1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a C.sub. 1-4 alkyl group.
