The present invention relates to an aqueous two-component polyurethane coating composition comprisingPPA) a water- dilutable polyacrylate resin (A) having an OH number of from 40 to 200 and an acid number of from 20 to 100 mg of KOH/g, andPPB) a polyisocyanate component,PPcharacterized in that the water-dilutable acrylate resin is obtainable by solution polymerization ofPPat least one ester of (meth)acrylic acid and a cycloaliphatic C.sub.6 to C.sub.10 alcohol, with the exception of cyclohexyl methacrylate,PPat least one hydroxyl- containing monomer,PPif desired, at least one vinyl ester of -branched monocarboxylic acids having 5 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule and/or at least one reaction product of acrylic acid and/or methacrylic acid with the glycidyl ester of -branched monocarboxylic acids having 5 to 18 carbon atoms per molecule,P Pat least one carboxyl-containing monomer and,PP if desired, further, essentially carboxyl-free monomers,PP the resulting polyacrylate resin being at least partially neutralized and dispersed in water.
