PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the damage repair construction works or new extension construction works of a side-face hole for the running water pipe of an existing manhole by installing a mounting plate, to which a cylindrical hole for inserting the running water pipe is molded integrally and which is made of a hard rubber, onto the side wall of the marthole. SOLUTION: A side-face hole 8b is formed to the side wall of an existing marthole 8 in larger size, the cylindrical section 3 of a mounting plate 1 made of a hard rubber is inserted, the mounting plate 1 is fixed to the manhole 8 by a bolt 6 and a nut 6b, and a reinforcing bar 10 is wound in a ring-shaped clearance 12 between the cylindrical section 3 and the side-face hole 8b by a wire 11 and the clearance 12 is filled with an elastic joint filler 13. A flexible cutoff joint 14 is fitted into the cylindrical hole 4 of the mounting plate 1, and pushed and fixed by an ended circular ring 17, a running water pipe 15 is inserted and fitted into an internal rubber cylindrical section 14b and fastened by a band 16, a protective ring 19 preventing the penetration of soil and sand is mounted, and a section between the flexible cutoff joint 14 and the pipe end of the running water pipe 15 is filled with an elastic joint filler 20. Accordingly, the running water pipe 15 can be inserted and set up easily into the existing manhole 8.
