PURPOSE: To obtain two transformers for a rectifier which are different in the phase-shifting angle, have the same % reactance when the capacity ratio of a Y-winding and a ▵-winding is reversed, and make cores and secondary windings common. ;CONSTITUTION: A first transformer 1010 for a rectifier has phase difference of a phase-shifting angle θ for a Y-connection. A second transformer 1020 for the rectifier has phase difference of phase-shifting angle θ for a ▵-connection. Y-windings 11, 13 and ▵-windings 12, 14 of the transformers are so arranged that windings of smaller capacity are situtated inside. The induced voltage of one turn, the height of a winding, and the insulating distance between windings are made to coincide between the two transformers. Hence the % reactance between the primary winding and the secondary winding becomes almost identical, so that cores 3 and secondary windings 2 of the same design can be used. Since the winding of larger capacity is arranged in the vicinity of the secondary winding 2, the % reactance can be reduced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
