Zero point calibration manner and FM receiver null of field intensity meter for FM receiver

PURPOSE: To calibrate without antenna separation/input terminal termination, etc., by calibrating with an electric field intensity meter output as a zero point when a noise level of a demodulation signal of a receiver is at a predetermined value or higher. ;CONSTITUTION: An FM receiver comprises an electric field intensity detecting means 4 for detecting reception intensity to perform processing according to the detection intensity. In order to attain this purpose, it comprises a noise level detecting means 5, a comparing means 6 and a correcting means 7. The noise level detecting means 5 detects a noise level of a demodulation signal. The comparing means 6 determines whether the detected noise level is at a predetermined level or higher, while the correcting means 7 corrects an output of the electric field intensity detecting means 4 is a zero-point level when the detected noise level is at the predetermined level or higher. Thus zero-point calibration of the electric field intensity meter for an FM receiver is possible without requiring antenna separation/input terminal termination.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
