Improve water absortion power the print form and the newspaper print form

摘要

PURPOSE: To obtain a printing paper having improved water absorbency and improved balance of surface strength and stripping quality by coating a water absorbency-controlling composition on paper substrate. ;CONSTITUTION: A water-soluble polyacrylamide selected from a nonionic polyacrylamide such as (meth)acrylamide or a group of polyacrylamide having a cationic or an amphoteric, preferably having a tertiary amine group and/or quaternary ammonium group is used as A-component, a water-soluble anionic copolymer of a monomer having a hydrophobic substituting group such as styrenic group and an anionic monomer having carboxylic acid and/or sulfonic acid group, such as styrene/acrylic acid or α-olefin/maleic acid is used as B- component and both components are mixed in a solid component weight ratio of (A:B)=(20:80)-(80:20) to prepare a water absorbency-controlling composition. The resultant composition is coated on paper substrate by a gate roll coater method in an amount of 0.1-0.6g/m² per one surface to obtain the objective news printing paper having 20-200sec drop water absorbency degree and 80-95° contact angle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
