PURPOSE: To accurately measure the partial discharge generated in the specific part of a power cable such as a prefabricated joint without receiving the effect of external noise. ;CONSTITUTION: Annular electrodes 17a, 17b are embedded in the outer peripheries of the surfaces A, B to be measured in a cable insulating layer 11 to be drawn out of a cable conductive layer 13 having the connection part to said electrodes 17a, 17b. In this measuring part, detection resistors 20a, 20b are respectively interposed between the annular electrodes 17a, 17b and the conductive layer 13 to obtain two detection signals which are, in turn, connected to a signal detection circuit 22 through a differential circuit and a same phase signal such as external noise is removed to extract only a partial discharge signal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1993,JPO&Japio
