PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference solution for quality control and calibration for a device for optically measuring the hemoglobin concentration, which is suitable for a system with an optical sensor and can be easily handled and created. ;SOLUTION: This reference solution is for quality control and calibration for a device for optically measuring the hemoglobin concentration in a blood sample formed of particles scattered in an aqueous electrolyte solution. The average diameter of the scattered particles is 0.5 μm or less, and their volume concentration is 1% or less.
