Warp knitting machine and method for producing patterned warp knitted fabric

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a warp knitting machine for knitting and a method for patterning based on the warp knitting machine and to produce a warp knitted fabric therewith. SOLUTION: A warp knitting machine having a Jacquard controller is equipped with patterned yarn guide needles 8 displaceable to at least three stable positions. Basic displacing operations are selected so as to carry out the total displacing operations which can be maximized of the patterned yarn guide needles 8 on at least four knitting needles 2. The total displacing operations are selectively performed under the one to four knitting needles 2 in a prescribed patterning region in the method for producing the patterned warp knitted fabric. Thereby, the warp knitted fabric having at least three stages of thick or thin patterning or two-color patterning can be achieved.
