PURPOSE:To protect the optical submarine feeder by detecting the state of an earth volage check instrument and a feeder system switching device with respect to the feeder protection device of the optical submarine cable terminator. CONSTITUTION:When the feeder system switching device 11 of an optical submarine cable terminator 10 is switched to a both-end feeder system, a 1st detector 13 is set. In this case, when an earth voltage check device 12 is pulled out of the optical submarine cable terminator 10, a 2nd detector 14 is set. If both the 1st detector and the 2nd detector 14 are set, a signal is inputted to the forced feed interruption input terminal 22 of an optical submarine feeder 20. When the signal is inputted to the forced feed interruption input terminal 22, a constant current source 21 is forcedly interrupted.
