PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject pellet, uniformly mixable with a regular polyethylene terephthalate(PET) resin and capable of preventing resin physical properties from deteriorating with moisture and useful for producing an antimicrobial PET product by regulating the moisture content in a low-melting PET resin. ;SOLUTION: This master pellet is an antimicrobial PET resin master pellet with ≤400ppm moisture content and comprises (B) 10-30wt.% silver zeolite (preferably the one prepared by baking usual silver zeolite at about 400°C temperature and conversion thereof into an anhydride state) in (A) a low-melting resin having 150-230°C melting point. When the pellet is mixed with a regular PET resin together with a chitosan salt which is a reactional product of chitosan with adipic acid, the moldability of the resultant PET resin composition can further be enhanced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
