PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a measuring accuracy of a hydroplaining resistance performance and safety when measured by coupling a driven vehicle mounting test tires to a self-propelled vehicle, traveling test tires of the driven vehicle on a wet road aligned with a non-wet road while traveling the self-propelled vehicle on the non-wet road, and evaluating hydroplaining of the test tire. SOLUTION: In the apparatus for evaluating hydroplaining resistance performance, a wet road 1 and a non-wet road 2 are aligned in parallel. Test tires 4 are mounted at a driven vehicle 5, and coupled to a rear portion of a self-propelled vehicle 3 through arms 3a and hinges 3b. The vehicle 5 is towed while traveling the vehicle 3 along the road 2, and the tires 4 are traveled by following to the road 1. When its speed is accelerated, the tires 4 causes hydroplaining at a certain speed. The hydroplaining may be evaluated by observing tread surfaces of the tires 4, or executed by measuring a difference between traveling speed (circumferential speed of the tire) of the vehicle 3 and the circumferential speeds of the tires 4.
