Underwater transducer protection container and a method of manufacturing the same for the high frequency band

PURPOSE: To provide a protecting container and its production for an underwater cable transmitter/receiver which can suppress the IL level to a low one even if the service frequency band is a high frequency band of 100 to 400kHz and also even if the incident angle of a sound wave becomes large in addition. ;CONSTITUTION: A reinforcement layer 3 consisting of a reinforcement cord made of the aramide fiber is buried into the body of a protecting container made of rubber material. The rubber material of the container preferably uses a polychloroprene rubber composition, and a rubber component is previously impregnated into the aramide fiber. Thus the protecting container of an underwater cable transmitter/receiver of such a constitution can be used in particular in the high frequency band of 100 to 400kHz. Furthermore the aramide fiber substantially and preferably consists of poly-p-phenylene terephthlamide fiber.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
