PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair dye composition comprising a specific pigment, a gelling agent and an oiling agent and excellent in usability. ;SOLUTION: This jelly-like temporary hair dye composition comprises one or more kinds of pigments having pearl gloss (e.g. titanium mica, carmine, azure or titanium mica coated with an azo pigment) in an amount of 5-40wt.% based on the whole composition, a gelling agent (e.g. a carboxyl vinyl polymer, an alkyl acrylate-acrylic acid copolymer) in an amount of 0.1-5wt.%, and an oily substance (e.g. castor oil or lanolin) in an amount of 0.5-20wt.%, and, if necessary, a film-forming polymer (e.g. a nonionic polymer compound, an amphoteric polymer compound) in an amount of 0.2-10wt.%. The composition is excellent in shieldability and abrasion resistance and free from tackiness and stiffness, and can uniformly dye hair.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
