PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the rolling equipment and rolling method produce a high glossy and a high quality stainless strip. ;SOLUTION: A cleaning device 5 to remove the foreign matter stuck on strip surface paid out from a pay off reel 2 is arranged to a stainless strip rolling mill. The cleaning device 5 is arranged with a wiping device 6 at both inlet and outlet sides as well a high pressure spray 5a, a rolling oil is used for a cleaning liquid, the cleaning liquid used at the cleaning device 5 is immediately returned to a cooling oil supply/recovery device 11 and is regenerated. A stainless strip 1 is paid out from the pay off reel 2, after foreign matter is removed with blowing rolling oil on both front/rear surfaces of strip with the high pressure spray 5a, the strip is rolled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
