COCKROACH-TRAPPING DEVICE AND COCKROACH-TRAPPING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cockroach-trapping device capable of suppressing reduction of trapping performance caused by surrounding conditions such as places, seasons, etc., and enhancing inducement-accelerating effects by installing a luminescent material which enables lightness of a part of external surface of a box brighter than that of a boundary area surrounding the box. ;SOLUTION: This cockroach trapping device comprises a box 10 having an entrance 20 through which cockroaches can enter into the box and arranged inside of the box with an adhesive trapping unit such as a trapping sheet 13, etc., capable of preventing escape of cockroaches by adhering the cockroaches entered from the entrance 20, and a luminescent material 14 such as a fluorescent substance, an electric lamp, a light-emitting diode, a fluorescent lamp or the like, attached to the box and capable of bringing lightness in at least a part of the external surface 11 of the box 10 to be brighter than that in the boundary area surrounding the box 10. It is preferable to reduce a direct light incoming inside of the box by putting a shading material, which shades the direct light irradiated from the luminescent material 14 through the entrance 20, between the luminescent material 14 and the entrance 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
