Multiplex beam antenna and beam formation network

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a size, cost and weight and to provide a capability of bringing null directivity within a pattern effective range by providing radiators, a filter, an integrated circuit where an input signal is connected to the output of the filter and a coupler connecting one of the input signals with the output of the integrated circuit. ;SOLUTION: Microwave signals are transmitted/received by using the plural radiators 12. The outputs of the radiators 12 are connected by respective test couplers 16 and a specified monolithic microwave integrated circuit(MMIC) 18. Respective MMIC 18 are connected to a controller 73 arranged on the same position and are connected to a computer for receiving control signals for the independent control of respective MMIC 18 forming desired antenna beams for bringing null directivity within the pattern effective range. The outputs of respective MMIC 18 are connected to a strip line power coupler 20 connecting the signals for the supply of the mix signals of all the radiators 12.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
