PURPOSE:To enhance the progress of tunnel constructing work to a great extent by by furnishing the first excavator having a chain cutter and second excavator having a number of rotary drum cutters in parallel arrangement in steps, and also furnishing a conveyor device. CONSTITUTION:An excavating arm 6 is moved along a certain locus in a tunnel form, and a lining groove is formed by a chain cutter 5, and a hardening material such as concrete is poured in this groove and left hardening so that a lining is formed. A number of rotary drum cutters 12... in parallel arrangement in steps facing downward from above are provided on a traveling dolly 3 and are pressed to the ground to conduct excavating.
