The present invention relates to the utilization in cosmetics or in topical application of an aqueous dispersion containing, at least in one aqueous cosmetically acceptable medium, an organopolysiloxane and a crosslinked copolymer of acrylamide/neutralized 2-acrylamido 2-methylpropane sulfonic acid, with the provision that the organopolysiloxane is not a linear dimethylpolysiloxane having a viscosity smaller than 10-1m2/s.
