PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To divert the whole patient stand to a wheelchair and easily shift a patient with saved labor by stretching the flattened patient stand over a bed or returning it when an attendant pushes or pulls it from the side, and erecting the backrest section of the patient stand loaded with the patient. ;SOLUTION: When a patient stand 1 is to be used as an aid wheelchair, the patient stand 1 is flattened, and a bed suspension bridge 4 is suspended over a bed. A side push plane stanchion frame is pushed to the bed side, the patient stand 1 connected to it is shifted to the bed suspension bridge 4 size while multiple roller 5 provided at the upper section of a lower support solid stanchion frame 3 and on the back side of the patient stand 1 are rolled, and the patient stand 1 is stretched over the bed. A patient is mounted on the patient stand 1 and a temporary foot rest 6, then the side push plane stanchion frame is moved in the direction separating from the bed. The patient mount backrest section of the patient stand 1 is lifted, the temporary foot mount 6 is prostrated downward, and the feet of the patient on the temporary foot rest 6 are shifted to the foot rest.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
