PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dispersion compensation fiber module that can compensate polarized wave dispersion caused in its inside so as to contribute to improvement of a transmission characteristic of a signal light. ;SOLUTION: The dispersion compensation fiber module 10 has a circulator 11, a dispersion compensation fiber 12 whose one terminal connects to a 2nd port P2 of the circulator 11, and a polarization plane rotation section 13 provided in the other terminal of the fiber 12 and having functions that reflects an input signal light and outputs the reflected light and rotates a polarization plane of an output signal light by 90 degrees with respect to a polarization plane of the input signal light. This polarization plane rotation section 13 consists of a reflector 15 comprising a fiber grating or the like and of a polarized light rotation element 14 comprising a Farady rotation element or the like.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
