COLLAGEN ORIGINATED FROM FISH SKIN AND COSMETIC CONTAINING THE COLLAGEN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a collagen (derivative) originated from fish skin, having decreased odor, capable of imparting the skin with smooth feeling, having excellent moisture retention and biocompatibility and useful for cosmetics, or the like, by performing organic solvent treatment and high-speed centrifugal separation treatment. ;SOLUTION: The objective collagen or its derivative can be produced from a fish skin by the treatment with an organic solvent such as alcohol, ketone, ether and ester and the high-speed centrifugal separation treatment at a centrifugal acceleration of ≥10,000 G. Preferably, the fish skin used as a starting raw material is originated from yellowfin tuna, the collagen derivative is an acylated derivative or succinylated derivative, and a cosmetic such as cleansing cosmetic, antisuntan cream and lipstick is prepared by using the collagen (derivative) originated from fish skin in an amount of preferably 0.001-20 wt.% (based on the cosmetic composition).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
