PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make sufficiently dissolvable a polymer to minimize the filtration load by dissolving the polymer in a supercritical fluid in a supercritical state including either a supercritical temperature or higher or a supercritical pressure or higher. SOLUTION: A supercritical fluid obtained by introducing a supercritical-fluid- forming substance from a cylinder 1 through a conduit 2 into a compressor 3 and bringing it into a supercritical temperature or higher or a supercritical pressure or higher by means of a heater 4 is introduced through a valve 5 into a pressure dissolver 6 having a pressure resistance of 50-500 atm. Next, a solvent miscible with the supercritical fluid and a polymer are fed into the dissolver 6, and the valve 5 is shut. The polymer is dissolved under agitation, a regulation valve 7 is opened, and the solution is filtered by introducing it into a filter 9 through a conduit 8 while it is kept in a supercritical state. The solution is introduced into a gas/liquid separator 11 through a pressure reduction valve 10 to release it through 15, and the obtained polymer solution is discharged from a bottom valve 16 of the separator 11 through a conduit 17.
