PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for adjusting the calorific value of a city gas, wherein the equipment cost and operating cost can be reduced, and the treatment of methanol can be dispensed with in the regeneration of an adsorbent for removing impurities such as methanol. ;SOLUTION: Provided is a process for adjusting the calorific value of a city gas made from LNG by mixing an LPG for carburetion in the form of a liquid with a stock LNG fed to a vaporizer 6, wherein impurities are removed from the LPG for carburetion by inserting an adsorption tower for removing impurities such as methanol in an LPG carburetion line, and the stock LNG is mixed with the LPG for carburetion by a liquid-liquid system in a mixer 3. When the adsorbent in the tower 8 needs to be regenerated, part of the gas leaving the vaporizer 6 is introduced into the tower 8 through an adsorbent regeneration gas line 11 to regenerate the adsorbent, and the gas used in the regeneration together with the desorbed impurities is returned to a vaporizer leaving gas line 7.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
