PURPOSE: To position the fuel control rack of a fuel injection pump in a measurable zone between a start zone and a non-fuel injection zone by detachably mounting a rack bracket on the wall of the injection pump case, and bearing the fuel control rack on the bracket. ;CONSTITUTION: When the fuel control rack 5 of a fuel injection pump 1 is positioned in a measurable zone 8 between a start zone 6 and a non-fuel injection zone 7 before measuring injection start timing, a rack bracket 4 is first mounted detachably on the wall 3 of a fuel injection pump case 2 for supporting the control rack 5 thereon. In this case, the bracket 4 is formed out of a solenoid 9 for stopping an engine and a throttle 10, and causes a pressing lever 11 to project upon the interruption of power supply to the solenoid 9, thereby pressing and moving the rack 5 to the zone 7.
