PURPOSE: To provide a cylinder or dandy roll for producing watermark-patterned paper, and to provide a method for their production. ;CONSTITUTION: A sheetlike material 3 having perforation gaps and getting adhesive through activation by heat is fixedly jointed to the surface of a papermaking net 4 for cylinder machines or the upper net for dandy rolls and laces 2 are fixedly jointed to the surface of the sheetlike material. For manufacturing this cylinder 1 or dandy roll characterized by having the above scheme, the surface of the papermaking net (cylinder) or the upper net is laminated with the sheetlike material, and the material is activated under heating to effect fixed jointing between the sheetlike material and the net; subsequently, the laces 2 are superposed on the sheetlike material followed by heating and activating the sheetlike material to fixedly jointing the laces to the material.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
