PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To relieve persons in wheelchairs from fear of falling down in moving down onto lift floors by themselves.;SOLUTION: With a lift floor in its downmost position, a chain 4 is operated to put a locking/unlocking cam 14 at a level of 35 mm or lower from the floor. As the lift floor leaves the downmost position, a flapper 2 after serving as a transfer board is automatically locked to serve as a stopper. The lower end of the suspended locking/unlocking cam 14 is situated below a flapper cam 5 so as to unlock the locked flapper 2 before the lift floor is, on the other hand, moved down to put the flapper cam 5 grounded. As the suspended locking/ unlocking cam 14 moves up, the chain 4 slackens off to trigger a compression spring 13, which in turn moves a locking bar up or unlock it from a locking pin to thus ground the flapper cam 5 ensuring the transfer board.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
