PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct spin-draw process for polyester filament of thick fineness that can inexpensively produce filament yarn of a thick fineness with no defects in qualities, for example, yarn evenness, dyeing specks, or the like, and no occurrence of yarn breakage, fluffing, or the like. ;SOLUTION: When a polyester filament yarn with a filament fineness of ≥3 denier is subjected to the above spin-draw process, the polyester filament yarn is melt-spun, bundled, the yarn tension is set to 0.2-0.7 g/d immediate below the bundling point. Then, the filament yarn is taken off at a rate of 1,500 m/min-2,500 m/min with a feed roller 4 heated at ≤40°C on its surface, then subjected to the drawing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
