PURPOSE: To provide an end cover with which shortening the length of the metallic core of a temple to be inserted into an end cover is possible and the length of the temple is easily adjustable by using the ear bend built into a metallic pipe and a spectacle temple formed by using this end cover. ;CONSTITUTION: The end cover obtd. by using a metallic pipe 1 to be plastically deformed by applying external force thereon as a core material and coating the outer peripheral surface of the metallic pipe 1 to the shape of the bow side end of spectacles by a synthetic resin material 2 in the state of exposing a spigot pipe port 11 at one end of the metallic pipe 1 is adopted. The spectacle temple consisting of this ear bend and a rod 3 having a small-diameter part 31 fitted and fixed by inserting this part by a required depth into the spigot pipe port 11 is adopted. Since there is no need for inserting the rod deep into the inside of the end cover, the length of the rod is shortened and the cost is reduced. A mechanism for adjusting the length of the temp. is obtd. simply by changing the depth at which the rod is inserted into the end cover.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1996,JPO
