PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform synchronizing control of a shared object without using a server. ;SOLUTION: When synchronizing control processing is started, a participant terminal 1A first performs synchronizing control terminal determining processing. When the synchronizing control processing is started, the user ID of all terminals participated in the same virtual space are acquired from a virtual space managing server 2 and the dictionary type orders of its own ID and the other participant user ID are compared. The terminal having the least its own user ID among all the participant terminals becomes a synchronizing control terminal. The terminal where its own terminal is the synchronizing control terminal transmits a commander for setting the shared object into certain specified state to all participant terminals 1B and 1C and further sets the shared object of its own terminal into specified state. The other terminal is reset to return to ordinary state only in the state of timing to execute synchronizing control and synchronizing operation is executed by receiving synchronizing command from the synchronizing control terminal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
