PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide document preparing device and method capable of preventing the reduction of conversion efficiency by correcting learning information learned at the time of inputting an uncorrected character string to learning information learned at the time of inputting a corrected character string when a certain character string in a document edited by an application program is corrected and to provide also a recording medium recording a document preparation program. SOLUTION: When a document edited by an application program 3 is corrected, a document editor 1 corrects learning information learned at the time of inputting corrected (deleted) character string to learning information learned on the basis of a corrected result. Thereby the learning information learned at the time of inputting the corrected character string is not utilized and a problem causing the reduction of conversion efficiency is not generated.
