PURPOSE: To provide the correcting method for the eccentricity effect having a short index time and high position correction accuracy in a device rotating a sprocket and pitch-feeding a TAB tape. ;CONSTITUTION: The reference image pickup data at the rotation start position of a sprocket 2 and the readout image pickup data when a TAB tape is pitch- fed are compared in the preparation stage, and the displacement value of the TAB tape from the rotation start position is sent to a controller 20. The controller 20 stores the progress from the rotation start position as the relational expression of the rotation angle and the displacement value of the sprocket 2. The rotation angle from the rotation start position of the sprocket 2 is sent to the controller 20 in the operation stage, and the controller 20 calculates the correction quantity of the TAB tape from the relational expression and rotatively controls a sprocket 1 and the sprocket 2 by the displacement quantity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
