Oxazolidine-based compounds of fumaric acid salt and agricultural and horticultural fungicide

PURPOSE: To provide a new compound useful as an agricultural and horticultural fungicide containing remarkably decreased amount of impurities having unknown safety. ;CONSTITUTION: This compound is expressed by formula I (X is H, a halogen, a 1-4C alkyl or a 1-4C alkoxy; Y is H or a halogen; A is O, a 1-4C alkylene or a 1-4C alkylene-O). The compound of formula I can be produced by stirring a viscous oxazolidine compound of formula II and fumaric acid in a solvent. The amount of the fumaric acid used as a starting compound is preferably 0.45-0.55mol based on 1mol of the compound of formula II.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1995,JPO
