DEVICE AND METHOD FOR VOICE RECOGNITION AND GENERATING METHOD OF TREE STRUCTURED DICTIONARY USED IN THE RECOGNITION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an efficient search from a tree structured word dictionary employing a smaller storage capacity. ;SOLUTION: The tree has nodes which are made up by phonemes that constitute words. A tree structured dictionary 91 expresses plural words by a tree in which same phonemes of the leading phonemes of each word are made into a common node. ID information 82 is ID information corresponding to each word included in the dictionary 91 and defines words having a common node made continuous. Node information 92 is the node information relative to the parents nodes among the nodes of the dictionary 91 and the nodes having different sets of words that are reachable. The information 92 includes the number of words, that are reachable from the nodes, and maximum or minimum ID information among the ID information of the words. Then, a search of a word which is most suitable to inputted voice is conducted by employing the dictionary 91, the ID information 82 and the node information 92.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
