PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make accurately recognizable a finder image in a use state and to restrain the occurrence of a damage of a picture display part due to external light in a non-use state by restricting the irradiation of the picture display part with a light beam when the light beam from the outside is made incident on an enlarging optical system. ;SOLUTION: When the external light is reversely made incident on the finder device 23, the reversely incident light is received by a luminance sensor 6, so that a signal showing that the reversely incident light is received is supplied from the sensor 6 to a system control circuit 8 in the device 23. The circuit 8 recognizes based on a light receiving signal from the sensor 6 that the reversely incident light exists, and outputs an operation signal showing that an external light intercepting plate 4 is closed to a driving control circuit 9. The circuit 9 operates a driving device 5 according to the operation signal.
