PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mathematical expression(ME) processing system capable of obtaining a result matched with operator's intension, erasing executed misoperation and easily preparing an ME. SOLUTION: The system is provided with an instruction means 12 for outputting a position and an ME part to be changed in accordance with operator's operation, an operation means 24 for generating plural candidates for a deformed result of the ME on the basis of the position and the ME part outputted from the means 12 and a selection means 14 for selecting one of plural candidates in accordance with operator's operation. Since an intended deformation result of the ME can be easily obtained, the preparation of an ME can be more simplified.
