A zone where resistance is high to the operated key 103 is a zone where the hammer 111 presses up the cushion material 130 disposed in the position close to the position where the hammer 111 originally hits a string, and an increased key-pressing pressure is detected acting on the key 103 being operated. In this way, the key-pressing speed is detected based on the positions of the key 103 and on the time it travels between the positions while, by providing a zone where resistance becomes high to the operated key 103, the key-pressing speed is detected based on the position of the key 103 in this zone, and therefore two kinds of operating conditions, the key-pressing speed and key-pressing pressure, are detected by using one analog sensor 142.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
