PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for correctly and easily searching a specified location whose activity is recorded in recording the in-vivo activities of a biological sample. SOLUTION: An organismic sample 3 in which a florescent substance is manifested in a specified location 3a is prepared, an optical fiber 7 is pierced in the organismic sample 3, the excited light 4 is applied into the biological sample 3 through the optical fiber 7 by a first optical system 9 of a fluorescent microscope 6, the fluorescent light 5 excited and emitted by the excited light 4 is observed by a second optical system 10 of the florescent microscope 6 through the optical fiber 7. When the optical fiber 7 is pierced in a specified location 3a or in the vicinity thereof, the fluorescent light from the specified location 3a is led to the fluorescent microscope 6 through the optical fiber 7, and incident on an eyepiece 16 of the second optical system 10, and whether or not the location pierced by the optical fiber 7 is the specified location 3a can be judged only by examining whether or not the fluorescent light 5 is observed through the eyepiece 16.
