PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new antibody which consists of antibody recognizing the C-terminal of RecQ DNA helicase family protein and is useful in the inspection or the like at molecular lever for diseases due to the mutation of RecQ DNA helicase family gene. ;SOLUTION: The antibody is a new antibody, which is used for inspecting diseases due to the mutation of RecQ DNA helicase family gene and recognizes the C-terminal domain of this RecQ DNA helicase family protein, and is useful in the diagnosis or the like for diseases which contain Werner's syndrome and are due to the mutation of RecQ DNA helicase family gene. This new antibody is obtained by initially expressing a recombinant protein, which is obtained by adding glutathione-s-transferase to the C-terminal domain of human WRN helicase belonging to RecQ DNA helicase family, in Escherichia coli, preparing an antigen by purifying it with an immobilized glutathione, immunizing this to mice, screening out the clone of hybridoma and finally cultivating the resultant cell strain.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
