PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize casting operation, to prevent the development of laps and casting flash caused by leakage of molten metal and to improve the quality of a product by fitting one block which plants plural plate-like fins so as to be fixed and fittable/removable to a holding part, to a metallic mold and inserting the fins into the other block during casting. ;SOLUTION: In the block, many planar fins 30 are inserted and held in as almost parallel state so as to be formed as the rectangular state. Each fin 30 is inserted one by one between the fin holding plates 20. The fin holding plates 20 are held with a holding member 22 and fixed by fastening connecting bolt and nut arranged at both ends of the holding member 22. When the fin holding plates 20 are mutually adhered closely, a gap for fitting and interposing the fin 30 is formed between them. This gap is kept even in the case of loading the force to a thrust direction from the outer part. The thickness of the fin 30 is made to about 0.8 mm and the interval between the fins 30 is made to about 3.2 mm.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
