PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cylinder head cover from being damaged even when a rapid excessive load is exerted on an engine from a front, in structure wherein in an automobile engine room, the cylinder head cover of an engine is positioned in the vicinity of a brake master cylinder serving as an auxiliary machine.;SOLUTION: In an automobile wherein a master cylinder 7 is mounted toward the front of a car body on a dash panel positioned in the rear of an engine 4 in an engine room 3, a down slope 6a is formed at the part, positioned opposite to the master cylinder 7 of the cylinder head cover 6, of the engine 4. When a rapid excessive load is exerted on the engine 4 from a front, since the slope 6a is formed at the cylinder head cover 6, the master cylinder 7 is slid on the slope surface, whereby the cylinder head cover 6 is prevented from being damaged.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
