PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling a machine for rolling tea leaves, which enables the production of a high quality tea product in response to the tea leaves in the machine without relating to the amount of the tea leaves, by changing a pressure to the tea leaves by a specific method. ;SOLUTION: This method for controlling a machine for rolling tea leaves comprises measuring the electric current of a driving motor 5 for rotating the rolling cylinder 2 of the machine and then changing the pressure to the tea leaves 3 on the basis of the measured value. The method for controlling the machine for rolling the tea leaves may comprise measuring the electric current of the driving motor 5 for rotating the rolling cylinder 2 of the machine and then changing the position of a weight for changing the pressure to the tea leaves 3 on the basis of the measured value.
