PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for automatically generating an I/O partial circuit for automatically performing the connection of I/O scan paths, and for efficiently preparing the net list of an I/O partial circuit, and a storage medium for storing a program for automatically generating I/O partial circuit.;SOLUTION: This system is provided with a storage device 20 for storing I/O macro specification information, I/O partial circuit connection information, and LSI outside net information, a scan path connection rule generating part 12 for generating the connection rule of scan paths by using the I/O partial circuit connection information, a signal line connection rule generating part 14 for generating a net connection rule other than the scan path connection rule, a connection and hierarchy assembling part for connecting I/O macro, and for preparing the net list of the I/O partial circuit, and a hierarchy developing part 16 for developing the prepared net list of the I/O partial circuit to a primitive block level, and for preparing a net list in a desired level.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
